My Story

This year's Moonwalk theme is 'Your Hero' and our choice was an easy one... Joy, my mum. Every year my mum's friends walk The Moonwalk to raise money for breast cancer research and support. Before she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, she used to walk with them and I walked with her on one occasion. After her diagnosis, even though she wasn't able to take part, she would come down to London to cheer them on throughout the night. Now we walk in her memory. 
Given everything we've had to deal with over the last few months, Charlie and I have done very little training or preparation (which would be stressing her out right about now!) but we're committed to continuing this tradition in her honour and helping to raise vital funds for those who are or will one day be on the same journey she was
