My Story

My Mum, Maureen, introduced me to Walk the Walk long ago, through the London Moonwalk - which we both completed on separate occasions. She inspired me through every moment of my life, including the courage with which she faced her own cancer journey.

This sadly ended in February this year, and we both knew I would need a project and a destination to help me keep going through this time of losing her. I know Mum was happy to think of me training for and completing this camino, and she will be with me every step of the way - as I raise funds for a great cause, through participation in the Journey to the Edge of the World 2022. That's why, this September, I shall be trekking 75 miles /120km over 3 days along the Camino de Finisterre, to raise funds for Walk the Walk, and celebrate my Mum's life.
