My Story
Dear Friends
Hope you're keeping safe and well in these strange times
I'm dedicating my daily walks (2 miles minimum) from 16th May until 13th June to Walk the Walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer charities.
Walk the Walk normally runs annual outdoor Moonwalks, so this is the virtual lockdown version. I'm part of a team set up by one of my friends whose partner survived breast cancer. I know so many of us have either been through and supported loved ones going through the ordeal of cancer treatment, which must be intensified in lockdown.
It's traditional to dress up on a Moonwalk and whilst I'm not currently walking wearing a wig, if I meet my target I will do my last walk on 13th June suitably attired. 🤣🤣
I will be posting my daily mileage and sharing reflections on my fundraising page - Here's a Poem I wrote on Day I - https://poetrypetals.blogspot.com/2020/05/walking-pauses.html
I know it's a difficult time and many of you are already so active supporting many good causes, so totally understand if you are not able to donate. Please know I'm sending you all good bright pink vibes from my walks around Crystal Palace! Thank you! Big love!
